About Suzie
I live in a friendly little community called Glacier View, 95 miles east of Anchorage, Alaska. I paint in watercolor, pastel, fluid acrylic, collage, and mosaic. Landscapes, flowers and figures are some of my favorite subjects.
My art education is a mixture of workshops, mentoring, and extensive reading through our local library, forty miles away. I don't consider myself to be 'self-taught' since so many people have influenced and encouraged me in my art.
I was born in Oregon and moved to Alaska in 1979 when I married my husband, Lee. We lived "off the grid" on a lake for twenty-five years. Now we can drive to our house and to my studio.
